-Fri-Up at 7:15. We did our chores and had a nice walk. Some people left a sack of empty beer cans in the outdoor toilet. At least they left them in a sack. We had leftover sloppy joes for lunch. We checked the parking lot and a bus of kids were here to enjoy the lake. The parking lot was almost empty at 6:00 PM. The game warden was here about 7:00 PM. It rained this evening. Our supper was cheese and crackers.

-Sat-I was up early with Poopsie and then returned to bed and got back up at 8:45. So we did our usual things. But it rained all morning. Tony Powell was here about noon. When the rain stopped we walked the parking lot circle and to the stop sign. It rained more after supper. We ate grilled chicken, salad greens, chips and berries.

-Sun-It was foggy when we got up this morning. We ate our breakfast then dressed and made the bed. Next we took a walk and did our chores. We sat outside for awhile. Kelly was here for part of the afternoon.. The boat volunteers were also here, Candice and Gwen. Supper was Canadian bacon, eggs, home fries and then berries later.
-Mon-We completed our morning routine, and then we gathered our laundry and trash. We headed into town and hauled off the trash and then went to the laundromat. We also mailed a birthday card to our great-granddaughter, Mariana. In addition, we made a stop at the grocery store. When we got home and found out that that the outhouse had been pumped out. They left a mess, so we drug the hose over and washed everything out. We had a late lunch, then rested a bit. I made chili for supper.
-Tue-We did our usual things this morning. Kelly was here about 45 minutes. Then we had our lunch, chili nachos. They were delicious. We went to town and picked up some stuff at Sliter’s (hardware store). Our next stop was the UPS store. My sister Marsha shipped my birthday present there (early). It was a Belgian waffle maker! Woo Hoo! We tried out the new waffle maker for supper. I made waffles, with peanut butter and then we had berries. After supper we drove to Echo Broken Leg Trail Head and walked up to the bridge. It was a nice ride and walk.It is always a little cooler when you go up the mountain a ways.

-Thu-It was a routine morning for us and there was also some rain. We took a short walk and completed our chores. We left for Walmart about10:15. We got our supplies and I also ordered some contacts. We were back to the RV about 12:30. We put our stuff away and had leftovers for lunch.
-Fri-We were up about 8:00. We had a nice walk and made it to the mailboxes. Then we did chores and hung out in the RV. After lunch we went to town. We hauled off the trash and went to the post office to send out some mail. We let the dogs ride along. They just love that. For supper I fixed pork chops, rice, mixed vegetables and berries.

-Sat-After completing our morning routine we sat outside. One boat volunteer was here. I monitored the parking lot about 3 or 4 times throughout the afternoon. The crowd was low about 3 PM and then it got a little more crowded at about 5:30 or 6:00.

-Sun-Our chores took a little more effort this morning with the outdoor toilet. It was messy. We were not too busy til noon. Then it got very busy. We sat outside from 1:30 to 4:00. We had some excitement today. We were talking to the boat volunteer Mike and what do you know but three, count em, three Sheriff vehicles rolled in. They came down the outgoing road and into the parking lot. We were amazed. We thought maybe it was a drug bust or something! LOL. Not one of them came to tell us what was going on. So we watched and waited. Finally we saw a pontoon boat roll up to the dock and the sheriff personnel walked to the dock and escorted a young boy (maybe ten) up to their vehicles. The boy was holding his arm, so I guess it might have got broken. Next the fire truck rolled in and parked near us. They didn’t tell us anything either. Finally an ambulance came out and they loaded the boy up and left. So they all left and never did tell us anything. After all that excitement we went into the house and I took a nap. Supper was turkey kielbasa and home fries along with berries.

-Tue-We were up about 7:45. After breakfast and getting around we had a nice walk. We also did the chores. Then we went to town. On the way to town we hauled off the trash and stopped at Sliters. Next we went to downtown Bigfork, I got a few gifts. We also went to the drugstore, grocery store and got some gas while we were in town. For our lunch I made a a great grilled turkey, cheese sandwich. Kelly came by and we all sat outside some this afternoon. It was 88° at 4:30 PM. There was a small fishing tournament this evening. The fishermen are never a problem. Supper was peanut butter on bread and we had ice cream with our berries tonight.
 |
| This was at 10:00 PM when the fishing tournament was over and the fishermen left. |
-Wed-It was another routine morning. We sat outside after doing the chores. Steve fixed the sitting bench by the fire pit. The old half log was bad. He had found a thick board and sawed it into two pieces and screwed them on to the stumps. Made a great seat/table. He also put up the wasp traps and a new weed eater hanger in the shed. Then we had lunch and stayed inside most or the afternoon. Supper was cube steak, potatoes, red pepper and berries.

-Thu-We were up about 7:15 this morning. So we got around and walked then checked the bathroom. We were able to leave for Walmart at 9:15. We were inside Walmart about 10:05 and out by 11:15 and home before noon. We have learned that the earlier we go there, the better our day goes. We put away our supplies and had lunch. About 2:45 we left and drove to Porcupine Creek road. We took ourselves and the dogs on an adventure. We were back to the RV by 5 PM. Supper was a turkey burger, corn on the cob and berries.

-Fri-We were up at 7:15 again! So we got dressed after breakfast and then did our walk and chores. We sat outside and enjoyed the peaceful morning. Tony P called and wanted our help at Sportsman’s Fishing Access site. They had to move the fishing acres site that was on the east side of Flathead river over to the west side because the state is putting in a new bridge. Tony wanted us to help him put in a new sign. We were glad to help. He needed us to hold up the big sign while he put in the bolts. Then we returned to the RV and had lunch. We had a boat volunteer here from 3:30 to 5:30. I always try to visit with whoever comes. It’s my social time! The game warden was here from 5:30 to 7:15.
