September 1 - 15, 2025 Observing Labor Day and Nearing the End of the Season

1-Mon-We we were up at 8:00 AM and had our usual breakfast. After walking we did our chores. Later we went to town to pick up a few things at Harvest Foods and then it was back to the RV for lunch. I checked the parking lot about 1:00 PM. The game warden was here from 1:45 to 3:30. Steve and I stayed in the house most of the afternoon to try to keep cool. It was  to 90° by 5:00 PM. For supper I made hamburger helper and we had berries.

2-Tue-We were up at 8:00 AM.  We ate our breakfast and got dressed and made the bed. Next up was our walk and completing our chores. Tony Powell called to check in with us this morning. We needed to haul off the trash today. The dogs love to go for a ride in the pickup, so we took them on the trash run. Kelly was here from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and then we went inside to be cool because it was getting hot. I checked the temperature later and it was 91° at 6:00 PM.  We didn't do a whole lot of interesting things today.

3-Wed-After getting up, we had our breakfast then dressed and made the bed. Next we took a walk and checked on the outdoor bathroom. There's not much going on here so we watch TV reruns. When lunch was over we went into Bigfork for a few groceries then back to the RV. Our supper was turkey kielbasa, home fries, berries and ice cream. It was another  hot day 90° at 3:30 PM.

4-Thu-We did all our routine things this morning. After a short walk and completing our chores we went to Kalispell. Our first stop was at the gas station. Steve could not get the pump to give out any gas. So we decided to do the car wash we had already paid for. ThenSteve forgot to put the gas cap on and we started through the car wash. But a man came out and stopped the wash cycle because he saw that the gas cap was off. He finally got the wash re-started and we finished getting the pickup washed. We decided to get gas and another station on the way to Walmart. After we completed our shopping we drove back to the RV and put our stuff away. After lunch we watched TV. Tonight was Thursday Night football so we watched Dallas get beat by the Eagles. I fixed turkey bacon and eggs later we had berries and ice cream. 

5-Fri-It looks like it was a pretty routine day. We did walk and sit outside until 11 AM. After lunch we moved big rocks that had been shoved out of their spots in the parking lot by those big pickups. We hooked the tow rope on the pickup around the big rocks down in the parking lot and moved them back into the place. That took us a little over an hour. After that we took it easy and watched TV. Our supper was pork chops, corn on the cob, salad and berries.

6-Sat-We were up about 8 or 8:30 and had breakfast. Then we dressed and made the bed. After talking our walk and completing our chores, we drove into Bigfork.  We hauled off our trash on the way and picked up our mail. We also stopped at the grocery store for lottery tickets. Then we made a stop at Napa to look for some lug nuts for the pickup. Steve noticed two of his lug nuts were missing. They did not have any lug nuts in stock that would fit his pickup, so they ordered them. They will arrive by Monday. We watched my Oklahoma State football team get beat by the Oregon Ducks 69 to 3. Then we watched OU beat Michigan. It is nice to have football again so we don't have to watch so many reruns. The parking lot was busy today, there were lots of folks enjoying the lake today. Our supper was grilled chicken, romaine salad, chips and berries,

7-Sun-We were up at 8:00. Today we walked around the loop, then completed our chores. We were not very busy this morning. We watched some football then Kelly showed up and we visited with her. After lunch we watched more football then it got busy with fishermen and boaters. We had a waffle with peanut butter for supper.

8-Mon-We were up and completed our routines, then I worked on ordering some medications from the VA for Steve. In addition I checked on the Pikepass bill and did some banking. Next  we did our walk and checked the bathroom. No chores were needed. We drove to town to pick up the lug nuts for the  pickup. We ran into the grocery store to pick up chicken strips for lunch There was a short rain shower about 3:00 PM. LaterI talked to Marsha and we solved some world problems! LOL. It was a cool nice day. Supper was peanut butter on bread with berries then and a fiber one brownie for dessert.

9-Tue-It was another pretty routine day. After lunch we took the pickup on the road outside the fishing access site and moved logs and branches out of the ditch. Then we came back and watched TV and putzed. I made hamburger helper for supper and we had berries and a brownie.

10-Wed-We had our breakfast and got dressed. We had just started our walk when Tony and Kelly arrived here about 10:15 this morning. They stayed until 11:00 and  then left. After they left we loaded the dogs and a few snacks and drove to Lakeside, MT and toured the West Side State Park that's on the West side of Flathead Lake. We took the dogs on a nice little walk there. Then we drove part of the road up to Blacktail ski resort. We're home by 2:00 and had lunch. The rest of the day was spent resting and watching TV. We had leftover hamburger helper for supper.

Just a funny thing!

11-Thu- We got up and had breakfast then got dressed and made the bed. Next we walked and did the chores. Today we went to Kalispell shopping. Our first stop was the Army Navy store where Steve tried on several pairs of shoes and did not find any he liked. Next we went to REI. I returned my shoes  and got a different pair. Then we went to Walmart for groceries and other supplies. We were back at the RV about 1:30.  After a  late lunch we relaxed and watched TV. Supper was grilled chicken, romaine salad chips and berries. 

12-Fri-We were up at 8:00 or 8:30. We completed our routine things. We loaded up the trash and laundry so we could get those things done in town. We were finished at the laundromat by 12:30 PM. Since it was earlier than usual, we decided to stop at the Echo Lake Cafe and have lunch. It was good as usual and the tourist crowds have died down some. We went home and watched TV and put away our clothes. Another thing we noticed today was the dock had been hit again and was sitting at an angle.  

13-Sat-We watched football a lot today after we completed our chores and our walk. Later we had a campfire and s'mores after supper. Supper was turkey kielbasa, home fries and berries.

14-Sun-We stayed inside and watched TV till 10:00 this morning. Kelly was here and stayed till 12:15. Then we had lunch. For some reason we didn't take a walk today! I am not sure why we didn't walk. I guess we got lazy. We watched football in the afternoon and for supper I fixed Eggs, Canadian bacon and berries

15-Mon-We got up and had breakfast. I talked to Linda quite a while on the phone then we got dressed and made our bed and took our walk. We checked the bathroom and it did not need cleaned. We had lunch around one and it started raining about 2:00 PM. We stayed inside and watched TV and putzed around. I made chili for supper and we had chips with it. Later we ate our berries.
