April 16 -30, 2025 Lots of Short Trips!

16-Wed-Today we did our morning routine then we got the RV out. We drove to Perry Lake and started spring cleaning the RV. we vacuumed and shampooed the carpet. We put the clean sheets on the bed. We wiped down all the surfaces. Steve worked on the front of the RV. He detailed the seats and carpet there. We ran bleach water through the lines. He lubricated the jacks. We worked from 11:30 to 5:00. Then we went home and rested. For supper we had pizza and berries.

17-Thu-After we got around we went back to the RV at the lake. We put the awning out to get the rain off. Then we worked on the carpet by the slide. We emptied the fresh water tank and let the bleach go through he lines. Anyway we worked from 9-1:30. Then we took the RV back home and parked it. Supper was H]hamburger helper, salad and berries.

18-Fri-I have been waking up a little earlier, about 7:00 AM. We got around then went to Stillwater to pick up my wedding ring. It has been repaired. Yea! I went to Thorn’s and ordered flowers for David & Paige - his mom died last night. They are having a tough time. Supper was turkey burgers, fries, berries.

19-Sat-Today is family game day. We left for Oklahoma City at 11:30. We are all meeting at the Texas Roadhouse for lunch. We are also celebrating Logan’s 20th birthday. Lunch for eight was almost $200. We gave Logan money for his birthday. He wanted everyone to come to his house in El Reno. We played Mexican Train and ate birthday cake and ice cream.We got home about 8:30 or so.

20-Sun-Today we watched TV, napped and relaxed. I made a pork roast, baked potato, mixed vegetables and berries for supper. 

21-Mon-We worked on the laundry, then did some picking of weeds. I accompanied Steve to work on the large shed. We were trying to make room for Kristi to put some things in our shed. After lunch we took the RV to get the oil changed. While we were out we filled it up with gas. Then we checked our mail and paid the car insurance. I made Chicken pot pie for supper, and we had berries for dessert. 

22-Tue-Today we did all the usual things. Then we got around and left for Oklahoma City about 11:15. Steve’s appointment was at 1:00. He is seeing Pain Management for his back. The doctor sent him for X-rays of his hip. The we had to stop by the pharmacy. When we got to Perry we stopped at Braums and got an ice cream cone. 

23-Wed-We were back on the road by 8:15 for another appointment at the VA. We got there about 9:30 for a 10:00 appointment. But we were finished by 10:30 AM. So we went to Bass Pro and Steve got some new shirts. Our next stop was Cummins for a generator oil change and tune up kit. We are taking it on our trip to have available when the generator needs it. We also stopped at Camping World but did not buy anything. We had leftovers for supper. 

24-Thu-We were up at 7:00 this morning. We had errands to complete. We went to the bank and stopped at the post office to pick up the mail. Next we were on our way back to Stillwater. Then we received a call from the VA to schedule an MRI of Steve’s back. I went to AT & T for a new screen protector for my phone. The old one had several chips init. I guess my phone gets dropped quite frequently. We also went to Walmart for groceries. We got home and put our stuff away. I ordered Steve some new shoes online. We will see how that goes. Supper was a hamburger, fries, salad and berries. 

25-Fri-Well we got going again this morning. We are headed to Bartlesville to see my sister Pam and her husband JC. We arrived about 1:30 and stayed til 4:30. It was about 6:45 when we got home. We stopped at Subway and got a sandwich. We have been keeping the road hot. 

26-Sat-Today we relaxed most of the day. We were tired from all our short trips this week. We had breakfast for supper. Yum.

27-Sun-We took it easy this morning. My brother in law called and said Pam had fallen again. They took her to the ER in Bartlesville. the doctor actually ordered a CT scan and they have discovered that in addition to her dementia she has cancer in her kidneys, liver and lungs. This explains why she has been hurting so much. I am so sad for my big sister. This will be hard. Supper was chicken parmesan, couscous, salad and berries.

28-Mon-We were up about 7:30. We did some routine things around the house and worked on laundry. I mowed the front yard. We picked up our mail and I mailed my other brother-in-law (Tony) the OSU Golf Club socks. These are protectors for his golf clubs. We went home for lunch and this afternoon we paid some bills and caught up quicken. I called my niece, Paige and wished her a Happy Birthday. They are on their way to Mayo in Rochester, MN for her son Landon. He has had extreme problems with migraines for the last year or so. 

29-Tue-We completed our regular chores this morning. Then I vacuumed and shampooed the carpet in our bedroom, hall and front room. Steve cleaned the end tables and helped me with the shampooer. We had lunch . Then I talked to JC, he said Pam can’t leave the hospital, because she can’t walk. I also talked to Marsha and we talked to Steve’s sister, Irene. Steve and I ate Fajitas at La Macarena. Hazel and Linda were unable to join us because they went to Phoenix to see a cousin who is fighting cancer. Cancer sucks!

30-Wed-It has been raining the last few days. I am ready for it to stop. Today we left for OKC about 9:15. It was a little slow going because of the rain. Steve had an appointment with his MS physician assistant. We got home about 1:30. The rest of the afternoon was just putzing. 

February 1 - 16, 2025 Doing Our Routine Things and Celebrating Family

1-Sat- I was up around 8:00 this morning. We  completed our morning chores and watched some TV. I put in two travel claims to the VA one to Oklahoma City and the other to Stillwater.  We walked a bit. Supper was Fish, Fries and Berries.

2-Sun-I guess I like online shopping better than going to the store I ordered 2 bras from Dillards and a new journal off Amazon. Then I checked into South Carolina State Parks. I filled the pill boxes and ordered more meds. We had breakfast for supper today. 

3-Mon-I was up a little later today. Steve made up the bed and started the laundry. Then we worked on his music after I got dressed. I had a mammogram appointment at 2:45 in Ponca City so we left at 1:45. I waited an hour before they called me back for the mammogram. I was unhappy. and it was more painful than usual. I think I got a poor technician. We got home about 5:00 and had supper and watched TV. 

4-Tue-Another routine day. We worked on the music list over and over. It is getting to be a pain. We enjoyed our supper at La Macarena with Linda and Hazel.

5-Wed-We did all the routine morning things. Then I started a quilt for Mariana (great granddaughter). I did continue to help Steve with his music off and on. I made chili for supper.

6-Thu-After my shower today I worked on cutting up jeans and planning the baby quilt. So today it was computer and sewing work. Supper was chicken parm, baked potato, green beans and berries.

7-Fri-Today we were off to Stillwater after we got around. I need to get an Apple card so Steve can buy more music. Then we got groceries at the Walmart Neighborhood Market. We unloaded all our groceries and I finished the quilt top for Mariana. Also I paid some bills. We had cube steak, potato wedges and salad and berries for supper.

8-Sat-Today was game day with the family. I put out snacks and got things ready. We played Mexican Train. Kristi, John, Logan, Cielo and Mariana were here. We all went to La Macarena for supper.

9-Sun-Today we spent quite a bit of time watching the Superbowl. It was just the two of us. We did get a short walk in at half time. I made us a few snacks and supper was Cajun potato skins with salad. The Eagles beat the Chiefs!

10-Mon-Another routine day. We worked on the laundry and more on the music list. I paid some bills and we updated Quicken. Supper was meatloaf, baked potato, salad and berries.

11-Tue-It was cold this morning. So we hung out on the couch a little longer. Then I went to the eye doctor. I also stopped at Thorn’s for a birthday present for Linda. I went by her shop to find out what time we were going to supper. I guess we are old tonight because we are eating early, like 4:30. We had the dessert churros to celebrate Linda’s birthday.

12-Wed-We woke up to SNOW! It was cold. I am not too fond of cold weather. I guess I just putzed around and Steve worked on his music list. I made Chicken Vegetable Soup for supper.

13-Thu-Another cold day. We did more of the same. I did shop a little. I got some Valentine’s presents and picked up the mail. Supper was sloppy joes, fries and berries. 

14-Fri-After getting around we headed to Stillwater. We got gas and went to Walmart for groceries. Again, it was cold and windy. We celebrated Valentine’s Day with each other. I also made pork loin, couscous, salad and berries for supper.

15-Sat-I got up late. about 8:30 of 9:00. I worked on the blog and Steve continues to refine his music stick and list. Later we did our errands around town: Braums, Homeland, Mail. 

More Snow!

November 1 - 15, 2024 Getting a New Roof and Other Miscellaneous Stuff

1-Fri-We were up and around by 7 AM today. The roofing people were here. We had breakfast and then dressed and made our bed. The roofers were so noisy it was hard to watch TV. We did take the dogs on a walk also because they were cooped up in the house. Later I went to Stillwater to get a lung scan. This is a preventive/screening scan. Medicare covers you for one each year. When we walked out Steve noticed he car had been hit on the trunk! Darn! We will have to figure out what to do about that. We returned home and later I mad Chicken Enchiladas for supper.

2-Sat-The man came and picked up the trailer with the old throwaway roofing materials. Steve put my car in the garage. We walked and it rained a bout 4:00 PM. We also watched football. 

3-Sun-It rained most of the days. We putzed around. We did go on a run to Homeland for a few grocery items. Football was on the agenda. Meatloaf, Baked Potatoes and Salad were on the menu for supper.

4-Mon-OMG we were up at 7:00 AM! Steve woke me up because the tornado sirens were going off! Can you believe that? It’s November - not really supposed to be tornado season! I was sleepy so i watched some TV. After lunch I helped Steve with the pickup light bulb replacement - He had to take  the front grill off to get to the light bulb! Crazy

5-Tue-After the morning routine we did some errands. We went to the post office, the drug store and homeland. I also paid some bill and worked on the blog. Steve worked on music. 

6-Wed- A routine day putzing around.

7-Thu-Another Routine day. We sent to La Macarena with Linda for supper. Hazel was out of town.

8-Fri-We had an early lunch. Then we were off to Stillwater to Lowe’s for a toilet part (what fun)! We also hit up Walmart for groceries since we were in the area. It also rained again today. We do need rain, so no complaints about that. 

9-Sat-We did our morning routine. Then Steve mopped the floor and I took out the trash. We have another game night/day scheduled. Kristi and John were here at 1:30. We played Skipbow and Mexican Train. Logan, Sky and Mariana were here about 3:00 or so. We all went to La Macarena for supper.

10-Sun-We did our morning routine. Then Steve worked on his music files and I worked on the blog. We had a nice walk, and watched football today. The Broncos lost to the Chiefs and Dallas lost to the Eagles. I made a nice pork loin and baked potatoes and salad for supper.

11-Mon-Today was laundry day. Then it was computer work. Supper was cube steak, potato wedges, salad and berries.

12-Tue-Another routine day around here. We did eat out at La Macarena with Linda and Hazel. 

13-Wed-After doing the regular morning things, I decided to shampoo the carpet. I did a fast job of it because it tires me out. I also started on sewing some jean quilts. I have to do something to occupy myself. We have lots of old jeans and I have decided to make the two grandkids a jean quilt. I will work on it a little at a time and see how my back likes it. Supper was chicken vegetable soup, crackers, and berries.

14-Thu-After breakfast and a little TV we made the bed and got around. I sewed on a quilt and checked email. Steve worked on the music files. Steve also checked the gutters.

15-Fri-We watched some TV most of the morning. We caught up on last night’s shows. Then we went Stillwater to Lowes, Hobby Lobby and Walmart. We were home by 3:00 PM and that shopping pooped us out.
