d 16-Mon-We were up at 8 AM. We had breakfast, dressed and walked the dogs. Next we disconnected the old batteries and went to O’Reilly’s to get two new house batteries. We returned to the RV and Steve installed the batteries. Now the slide works! This RV site is great! It is number 90 and we get satellite TV here also!. We went into Marsha’s and visited with her and Tony. They stay at Litchfield by the Sea. It is a big gated community. I showed her my adventure book (picture scrapbook). She was amazed. We tried to take a ride, but it poured rain so we went back to their townhouse. We returned to the RV and walked the dogs. Then we returned to Marsha’s for supper.

17-Tue-We were up at 9:00. We putzed around a bit and had breakfast. After we got dressed (wearing some green, for St. Patrick’s Day) we took the dogs for a walk to the beach. Then we picked up Marsha and she drove us in our pickup to Greg’s Cabana and Bar in Garden City, SC. Then we went to Broadway on the Beach. It is basically a boardwalk with a bunch of shops. We looked in a lot of shops and did not purchase anything. It was a lovely day. Next we went back to Pawley’s Island and went to Publix. We dropped Marsha off and returned to the RV. No supper since we had a big lunch.

18-Wed-Again we did not get up til 9:00. We got dressed and made the bed. Then we had to disconnect the utilities and retract the jacks and slides so we could go over to the dump station. We were full! We had a slight accident, the hose was cold and did not get screwed on tight, so we had a little mess before we got the handle pulled to shut it down. That was a first for Steve! Then we were back to our site and hooked up the utilities and put down the jacks. We walked the dogs again! Then we picked up Marsha and toured the historic homes route in Pawley’s Island. We shopped at two places but didn’t buy anything. We might be failing at shopping! Then we went to Marsha’s for supper and then back to check on the dogs and returned to Marsha’s to watch a movie, Song Sung Blue. We really liked it!

19-Thu-We got up at 9:00 again this morning. After we got dressed and I fixed my hair we walked the dogs. We had to move the RV this morning to a different site. We have to move sites because when I reserved our spot back in September last year, we did not know when Steve’s back procedure would happen. So we had to make changes to our reservation. After we unhooked, we parked the pickup at the gift shop parking lot and drove the RV up to Camping World at Myrtle Beach to fill our propane tank. We went inside and got a new mat and looked at RV furniture. Then we returned to Huntington Beach State Park and got set up in our new site. We then picked up Marsha and went to Brookgreen Gardens. We went there last year, but this year we saw a lot more stuff. We saw lots of lovely flowers, sculptures and paintings. We really enjoyed the visit. They had a new building open this year and were very impressed with the displays. We took Marsha home and then returned to the RV to walk the dogs. We went to Marsha’s for supper and then back to the RV. We were pooped!

20-Fri-We were up at 8:30 this morning. We had breakfast dressed and walked the dogs. Steve and I checked out the parks nature center. We left at 10:45 to pick up Marsha and drive south of Georgetown, SC to the Hopsewee Plantation. We were able to take the noon tour. This plantation was built around 1760 if I remember correctly. The son of the owner was a signer of the Declaration of Independence. We finished our tour about 1:15 and checked out the gift shop. Then we drove to Georgetown and had a late lunch at Blue Bayou Bistro. We dropped Marsha off and went to the RV. We walked the dogs and rested. We went in to visit with Marsha again about 6 PM. We watched another movie, Sarah’s Oil. It was a wholesome story. We did not eat supper but had some snacks.

We had to move the RV and that was completed by 11:15. We sat at relaxed a bit. Later we went to Marsha’s about 3:30. After visiting we rode the golf cart around their community. We ate supper, pizza and cheesecake! YUM! Tony make cheesecake from scratch and it is delicious. Marsha sent food back to the RV with us. She sent stuffed shells and cheesecake.
