Klinger Musings: November 16-30, 2024 Shopping and Celebrating Thanksgiving

16-Sat-After we completed our morning routine, we went to the craft fair here in Perry. We walked all around and looked at what people are selling. We also went to Dollar General, the ATM and postoffice. Steve messed with the gutters. I decided to go back to the craft fair again and bought a few Christmas presents. I also went to Thorn’s (flower and gift shop) here in town and bought a few more items. When I got home we decided to winterize the RV. That is now checked off the list. Supper was chili, chips and berries.

17-Sun-Later in the day we took a walk. I worked on the quilts and Steve worked on the music files. In order to make the jean quilts, it requires that I cup up these old jeans that we have been saving. So I work on that while I am watching TV. It's not easy, I have to trim out the seams and hems, because my sewing machine is not heavy duty and would not sew through them. And also my cutting hand gets tired. Supper was chicken parmesan, baked potato, salad and berries.

18-Mon-It was rainy and windy today. We did some bookkeeping in Quicken and reconciled our bank statements. I also paid some bills. We had lunch and I worked on cutting up some more jeans for the quilts.

19-Tue-We were up and around pretty good today. We did watch a couple of recorded TV shows before getting dressed and making up the bed. Then we took a nice walks. Later I worked on one of the quilts, sewing and cutting strips. Steve did computer work. We went to supper at la Macarena.

20-Wed-Today was more of the same. Cutting up jeans to sew and computer work for Steve.

21-Thu-After getting around we took a short walk. Then I worked on the quilt top, cutting and sewing. I finished one top. Steve help me with the layout and moral support as needed. Tonight we went to Stillwater to Texas Roadhouse and had supper with Linda, Hazel, and Stetson. We also made a quick run into Walmart.

22-Fri-I was up late today and Steve was sup early. He did computer work and I didn’t do much. We did a short walk. Then I printed off the driver’s license medical form. Since he has multiple sclerosis, the doctor has to complete this form every year so he can keep driving. I also did some online shopping.

23-Sat-It was a nice day today and we decided to put up our outside Christmas lights. It was quite a job and we took two breaks. But we got it done. It’s going to start getting colder - so that is why we did the outside lights now. Supper was meatloaf, baked potato, green beans, berries.

24-Sun-We completed the morning routine and had lunch. Then we watched Dallas win their football game! Yea! We had a nice walk and I cut up more jeans. We also watched more football. Supper was leftovers from last night but cheesy potatoes and carrots for veggies.

25-Mon-We got up and around pretty good today. We went to Walmart for groceries. I ordered some pies for Thanksgiving (I don’t want to make them). Supper was chicken parmesan, cheesy potatoes and berries.

26-Tue-We were up at 7:45 this morning. After breakfast I canceled the HBO and Max free trial.Then I worked on quilts. I worked on the second one all afternoon til I got pooped. We ate supper at La Macarena with Linda and Hazel.

27-Wed-After putzing and getting around we went to Stillwater to shop. We went to the super Walmart, Walgreens, Brown’s shoes, and had Chic Fit A for lunch. We also made a stop at Dollar Tree for an Apple gift card. Shopping pooped us out so we rested and watched TV after we got home. Supper was chicken vegetable soup, crackers and berries.

28-Thu-Today is Thanksgiving. So we got ourselves ready and gathered up stuff to take to Kristi’s. She is hosting Thanksgiving this year so the kids don’t have to drive so far. We got there about 1:45 and played Mexican Train. We ate Thanksgiving supper about 5 PM. Then we played Farkle. We left for home about 8:30 PM.

29-Fri-Today Id id more work on cutting up jeans. Then I have to lay them out on the table banditry to cut them into long strips to sew together. Steve helps me with that. We watched my team (OK State Cowboys) lose their football game! It was bad 52-0. Colorado killed us! Supper was pizza from Simple Simons.

30-Sat-Today we got around to go to Bartlesville to see my sister, Pam and her husband, JC. We had a nice visit and Paige and her family came over about 2:00. She took pictures nd we visited. We left about 3:30 and were home by 5:30. Bartlesville is 110 miles from here and it always takes us two hours to get there. So we spend about 4 hours on the road for a visit.
