October 16-31, 2024 Getting Things Done!

16-Wed-We were up at 8:30. After getting dressed and making the bed we went for a walk. We had lunch and then went to Walmart to pick up some meds. The doctor prescribed some steroids to help my hip. We got back home about 3:00 PM and took it easy.

17-Thu-We did out usual morning routine . Steve was working on music and I worked on the blog. I also caught up the checkbook. I wonder if anyone in the younger generation even knows how to keep up a checkbook and reconcile their account? Things I ponder. Later Steve worked on the weeds behind the fence in back again. Then there was football!

18-Fri-We left for Oklahoma City at 10:00 and arrived at the VA about 11. We did the needed things to get Steve a new VA ID card. Then he had his eye appointment. We finished with that about 1:15 or so. It was almost 3:00 when we got back home. We rested and watched TV. Later we watched OK State and BYU and we got beat by 3 points. Darn!

19-Sat-Today was Family Game Night. So we drove to Kristi’s after having showers and doing our usual routines. We played Skipbo and visited. We had cheesy Nachos and later S’mores and Ice cream! We arrived home about 9:00 PM. We were out late for old folks! LOL

20-Sun-A lazy day for us. We just watched football and rested a lot! Nothing remarkable

21-Mon-Today we did our usual routines and took a walk. Then we worked on laundry. I am also working to catch up the blog. We had ordered a new power washer and it arrived so Steve put it together. He used it to get bugs off the front of the RV. We did other household chores and then took it easy. 

22-Tue-We were up at 8:00 and after we did our usual morning routine we were off to Walmart. We got back home about 11:00. Today it got up to 90°! I can’t believe it is still so hot! We worked on cleaning the kitchen stove and vacuumed the carpet. That was all it took for us to get pooped out. We watched TV and later had supper at La Macarena.

23-Wed-We got in a walk today before it got too hot. I want to put in some pavers and we did some measuring of the space. It might cost a fortune - so not sure when/if we will do it. Steve washed on the fence some more and the RV. I made Chicken Pot Pie for supper. We had salad and berries to go with it. 

24-Thu-Pretty routine day around here. We walked. I worked on the blog. Steve did some more stuff and made his back hurt - so I put the TENS unit on him.

25-Fri-We got around and went to Stillwater. I was fasting so I could have lab work done after seeing my primary care person. Then we were off to the big Walmart to get a new microwave and some other stuff. Steve thought we needed a new one. Later we got our flu shots. 

We sent this picture to our boss. We want this for Echo Lake. It costs about $7,999!
He will ask the governor after election? LOL

26-Sat-Today is another family game day/night. The kids got here about 3:00 PM and we played three games of Cornhole outside. Next we went to Pawnee, OK and ate at Click’s Steakhouse for supper. After that we were at Pawnee Bills Museum for a night of ghost stories. It was fun and we got to ride in a wagon around the bison and longhorn cattle pasture. In addition they had a hay bale maze. Everyone enjoyed it!

27-Sun-Pretty routine day. We watched football and did some computer work. Dallas Cowboys got beat!

28-Mon-Another routine day. We did walk and do laundry. Later we picked up the mail and paid the car insurance. I made chili for supper.

29-Tue-Today the roof materials are supposed to be delivered. Finally some progress will be made. I moved my car after we went to town. We had a few stops to make, Braum's Linda’s and postoffice. I also went back to Linda’s to visit with Janette after lunch. Supper was at La Macarena.

30-Wed-Today we didn’t do much. We put our newest visited states on the RV window. It rained. Which we need very bad. The man delivered the roofing materials today.

31-Thu-Today it was back to Walmart for groceries. We were home before noon. We just hung out and putzed around. They delivered a dump trailer tonight about 7 PM. The actual roof work starts tomorrow!
