Week before Christmas Dec 17, 2011

Still not finished shopping for Christmas! I worked extra at Stillwater yesterday and had to go in today at Enid. We still need to decorate the tree and mail out cards! Hopefully we cn get it together.
We have wrapped some presents. Still trying to figure out what to get Steve for Christmas and his birthday. Rested some extra this morning. Going to VA this coming Wednesday. Well not much else to write just need to get the shopping done.

November 26 Saturday

Well it is the Saturday after Thanksgiving and we have much to be thankful for this year. Tuesday night the kids came up and we ate at Lamacarena. I worked on Wednesday and came home and cooked Chicken strips, tater tots etc. Thursday - we went to Enid and ate Thanksgiving dinner. Most of us slept a lot in the afternoon - and Dallas Cowboys won!! Woo Hoo! We came home that night and decided to go to Walmart for the Special sales on Thanksgiving night -- Oh boy... that was wild. I had never seen the Black Friday crowds -- even here in Perry, OK. Well it was interesting-- you couldn't hardly get up and down the aisles. Made it out alive with a few bargains. Friday - we didn't do much -- did go to Homeland for supplies and Logan was sick with fever. We fixed some Manwiches for lunch and Hodge Podge soup for supper. I like the easy stuff. Kristi made our shadow box in remembrance of Tazzy and we got it hung up in the living room. It looks really awesome! Today is Saturday and the kids went home -- Zoey is depressed because she misses them!! Found out Logan had strep throat... poor kid. Hope he gets well soon!! Well no other excitement -- it has been nice to be home. Oh yeah Steve and I are trying to clean out the computer room to put the exercise bike in there so we can put up the Christmas Tree! Week before Thanksgiving

Well another week has flown by. Work has been slow. Steve and I went to the VA today no big deal just follow up. We went to the toy store and bought a couple of Christmas presents! So it has started! Today was a sad day for OSU - girls basketball coach and assistant were killed in a plane crash.
It was windy all day. We took a nice nap when we got home. Tonight we are watching OSU play football so far they are ahead!

The Week in Retrospect

Well it was quite a week. The census at work has been low. Steve is having problems with the electric stuff in the RV. We worked on it some more today and now things are working when plugged in to shore power. Things are not working with just the generator. I have been about half sick and did not really feel like working in the mornings but oh well....went to work anyway. Picked up my new back-up eyeglasses today. They are good. The grandkids were here last week. Zoey had a swollen lip this afternoon but it is better now. We will take it easy tomorrow and then watch the OSU football game. Not much else today.

Saturday October 29 2011

Today we went to an MS conference in OKC. It was very informative and we enjoyed it. We got home about 3 pm and watched OSU play football and took a nap. OSU won big time woohoo. Marsha called and they have a lot if snow and their power was off. I had to keep updating them on scores!
Hopefully they will not freeze and get power restored tomorrow. It was a nice day here, cold start but warmed up later!

Friday. Oct 28

Went to Ponca City today, dr appt, walmart, lunch at Enrique's, Edward Jones, Two Rivers casino. Then home to pay some bills & fix SW Pizza. (WW). Great day!!! Tomorrow-MS conference in OKC.

Consult Nutrition

At work, hospital clinical dietitian. Nutrition consult is ordered--checked with doctor pt just needs nutritiin supplements. Great, talked to pt, he is agreeable. Checked back next morning. Pt had procedure his evening meal was cold. He did not eat much. Next morning pt was NPO another procedure. I am working to get sick patients to eat per the doctor's request and what does the doctor do? He cuts them off of food! An event in the day of a clinical dietitian!
