June 1 - 15, 2022 June is Here and We have Company Coming!

Wednesday- June 1st We were up at 9 ish. We we did all the routine things this morning. Then we took the lawnmower up on the road outside the fishing access site and mowed along the road where we could. Other places were cut with the weed eater. I also ordered meds and  paid some bills. By afternoon we were taking it easy.

Thursday- 2nd Another routine morning. I did chores and Steve started some mowing . After a while a group of school kids rode bikes from their school here and someone brought kayaks for them. They spent most of the day paddling and fishing. It's alway fun to see them out on the lake.

Friday 3rd- We got up and around. After completing our chores we headed to Walmart about 10:45. We also went to Target before we went to Walmart. On our way home we stopped at McDonald's on our way home. This evening we had a fire and sat outside listening to music.

Saturday 4th- It was rainy and overcast. We did some weed eating after the chores were completed.  Tony P was here and we visited with him. He wanted to know where the sign on the back of the regular sign came from. We told him we didn't know. So he took it down and moved it to the correct place. As he was putting it up, a couple drove down from the loop road. He stopped them and asked if they moved the sign. The man replied that yes, he moved the sign. Then our boss told him that they do not have the authority to move the signs for Echo Lake! We were so happy he told them, because they were the ones complaining about people walking on the loop road. WooHoo! Strike one for our team!

Sunday 5th- We did all the usual things. It was rainy off and on. We did sit outside until the rain made it impossible. We watched Monk reruns on TV and took a nap. I made chicken vegetable soup for supper! Yum!

Moon and Lights under the RV

Monday 6th- It was a rainy day for the most part. Tony P. called about 10 AM and we met him at the stop sign. He had another sign to put up. We messed with that till 11 or 11:30. Then it rained us out. We had leftover soup for lunch . We took a short ride in the pickup and then took it easy most of the afternoon. Later we put up  the arrow sign and sent Tony P. a picture.

Tuesday 7th - After we did our morning chores and other routine things, Steve had seen guys unload docks. We took pictures of one pickup in the parking lot that was towing a flatbed trailer. Then we gathered up our laundry and went to town. On our way to town, Steve saw them unloading more docks and told them they need a permit. I gave them Tony's card. Later, I took more pictures when we got back from the laundromat. We will show the pictures to the boss when he is here next.

Wednesday 8th-It was overcast today. We did all our chores and then just messed around. After lunch I talked to my sister and also got in a nap. Tony P called back about the guys unloading the docks. He needed some more information. Then we putzed around and watched some TV.

Thursday 9th - Today we did weedeating and mowing in addition to our regular chores. After lunch we did more mowing and weedeating. The rain has kept everything growing. We drove to Porcupine Road  (Buster was acting weird - he might have got stung by something). We had a nice walk and Buster got better. We also stopped at Swan River Wildlife Refuge and walked. Then we drove up Lost Creek Forest road and saw two FWP pickups towing bear traps - so we turned around and headed for home.

Friday 10th- During our walk today - it rained on us. So we went back inside. We decided to go to Walmart and Kalispell and get supplies. We drop off the trash on our way. After shopping we stopped at Taco Bell for lunch then headed back to the RV. The outdoor bathroom was a mess and so we had to drag the hose over and give it a good cleaning! Two sheriffs were here but we didn't find out why. We did ask if they needed anything from us and they said, no. We took the dogs fro a short drive  and a walk. We saw 6 deer on the ride.

Saturday 11th- It was rinin all morning. This required us doing our chores a little later. It rained most of the day - so I worked on the blog and Steve cleaned.

Sunday - 12th -This morning was sunny and later it sprinkled. Steve was cleaning and I worked on the blog, again. Kristi, John and Logan are coming tonight. They got rained out at Yellowstone. It was a 500 year flood. So they came directly here!

Monday - 13th - It was overcast and rainy today and we got around slowly. All of us loaded up and went to town for Brunch at the Pocketstone Cafe. We had never ate here before - but had heard great things about it. While we were in town we picked up our mail and went to the forest Office for some hiking maps. Out next stop was Wayfarer State Park - to check out the kids campsite. I also bought a  Montana State Parks pass. It rained off and on most of the day. I made chili for supper (a big pot for all of us).

Tuesday - 14th Today we headed up to Kalispel and ate at Costa Vida (Mexican). It was a great lunch. Our next stop was Walmart for more groceries. We returned to the Rv and I made Chicken vegetable soup for supper. Later we played Yahtzee. It was rainy and cool most of the day!

Wednesday - 15th Steve and I did all the routine things and the kids headed up to Strawberry lake Trailhead to hike a bit. When they returned we ate lunch at Rosa's Pizza - yum! The kids also set up their tent at Wayfarer State Park. We just snacked for supper and had a nice campfire and made S'mores.
