The New Year Has Arrived! January 7, 2017

Wow! Can you believe we are already 7 days into the new year! AMAZING! I still have so many things I need to do to get ready for this year. I want to get organized!. HA HA! Probably will never happen! This is Steve in his new Dallas Cowboys gear! A new cap, T-shirt and coffee cup. We are really happy that the Dallas Cowboys are doing better this year. GO COWBOYS!
Most Sundays, we watch football and take it easy. This last week Linda & Hazel took us out for Steve's birthday. We ate at La Macarena, here in Perry. We finished taking down our outside lights on Tuesday, the 10th. On Friday the 13th - I worked on accounting for my Thirty-One Gifts business. We were on weather watch all week-end, they thought we would get a big ice storm. It did not really make it to Perry - but it was bad out in Northwest Oklahoma, where I used to live. They were hit hard. Dallas lost to Green Bay and did not get any further in the playoffs. Tuesday the 17th, I did bill paying, tried to re-organize my printed materials and printed labels for my new Thirty One catalogs. On Friday, I worked on a blog post for my website: www.DietitianDelivers.com, finished bookkeeping, and walked. We also attended a basketball game in Ponca City, OK and watched my great nephew play. That was fun!

I work three days a week - so those days are pretty much the same. On my days off I try to accomplish something or sometimes just blow it off and watch TV or rest. On Tuesday, the 24th I made reservations for Steve and I at the French Quarter RV Park in New Orleans. I will be attending the Today's Dietitian Symposium and we will do some touring. I won a scholarship to cover the registration - but had to pay for a one night stay at the conference Hotel - the Astor Crowne Plaza. So I will save some money and spend some money, but we are looking forward to checking out New Orleans in May! On Thursday the 26th of January -we went to another VA appointment in OKC and also visited my sister Nancy. She fell out of her bed odd January 24 about 1:30 AM and we needed to go check her out. She had a horrible black eye and had to have several stitches. We ate at Cheddar's (love that place) and then shopped for groceries at the Commissary at Tinker Air Force Base. The weekend brought more finalizing of bookkeeping and a great walk on Sunday.

We ended up the month with another trip to OKC to do a visit to Primary Care - VA, lunch at Schlotzky's then a trip around the mall. After we got home - we also had supper with Linda and Hazel at La Macarena in Perry. We enjoy our Tuesday dinner out most weeks. We have fun visiting and keeping in touch!
