March 29 through April 15, 2019 Routine stuff and more

On Friday March 29th we were up at 6:00 AM and left for the OKC VA at 7:00 AM for a CT with contrast for urology. That was completed very quickly and returned home and napped. It got cold again - so Steve used the air compressor to blow out the water lines (just in case). He pulled the RV forward and the steps were out - so they got bent way out of shape when they met up with the carport post. I should have been out helping him and maybe that could have been prevented.
On Saturday the 30th - we got up and around and made ourselves presentable. Then we were off to Bartlesville to help celebrate my great nephew's birthday (Landon). His birthday was on the 26th, but we had to celebrate on the weekend after because that it how it works! We all went to eat lunch at El Maguay (Mexican) and it was good. We got to meet Rachel, his fiancee, who seems very nice. Then it was back home. Sunday Steve worked trying  to get the steps straightened out.  There is some improvement but still not fixed.  New ones cost about $600!  Used ones about $250.
April 1 we were back at the OKC VA for an appointment with the PA about Steve's back - he is approved for pain management and PT. We went to Braum's for salad and ice cream at supper time.
Tuesday the 2nd brought another trip to the VA for a meeting with Urology about Steve's Kidney stones.  He will be having a procedure May 6th to address this. We ate another salad at Wendy's on our way home. Later, we had supper with Linda & Hazel at La Macarena. Wednesday he took off the Windshield washer fluid pump from the RV.  Another repair. We talked to Tony - our boss at Fish Wildlife and Parks in Montana - and he said he could wait for us this summer. So we hope to return to Echo Lake for our volunteer gig.  Hopefully Steve is better and recovered from the kidney stone procedure. Physical Therapy started on Thursday, April 4th and the rest of the day was routine. I have been walking at least 4 days a week at the YMCA - trying to be healthy.  Friday- we did the wonderful trip to Walmart for supplies and that about pooped us out!
Saturday (6th) - we just putzed around til about noon. Then Steve had a very bad painful spell and threw up after lunch. So I put him on rest and relaxation for the remainder of the day. Sunday was more of the same.
On Monday the 8th, Steve went to PT and we did laundry and other chores.  Tuesday was a lovely day so I vacuumed up some excess leaves in the back yard with supervision from Steve. We also trimmed our honeysuckle vine - it was about to take over. Also returned the wrong wiper pump to amazon and ordered a different one.  We also ate supper with the girls - our usual Tuesday evening ritual. Wednesday was a little more yard work - pick up sticks and mow in the front. Steve helped me get the mower started. Thursday - was just another day - nothing too important.  Friday, Steve went to PT at 8:30 and then we left for yet another appointment at the VA. This was quick though. When we finished we ate at Pei Wei (Chinese) and enjoyed it.  I finished reading my new Anne Hillerman book.  I really enjoy her writing as much as her dad's (Tony Hillerman).
Saturday we went to OKC  to meet up with Kristi and Logan to celebrate his birthday (early). We met at Texas Roadhouse - one of our favorites! Austyn was working and could not be there. Then we went to Academy Outdoors to get his present - a punching bag and some shirts, and gloves. Then we had ice cream at Braum's and gave him a card with cash.  He was pretty happy! It rained all afternoon - pretty hard part of the time, but we made it home fine. Sunday was routine. I did assist Steve a little with testing out the new windshield washer pump. It works - but doesn't seem too powerful.

Well this catches me up for awhile.  Have a great spring. We hope to head north to Montana sometime in May if all goes well!
