January Wrap-Up

The new year is well underway.  We have mainly just been a little blah!  We have watched a lot of football and tried to get re-started on our walking.  We have been going to the YMCA here at Perry as much as possible.  One week we walked 4 days in a row.  Last weekwe fell off a little. We went and walked today though!  Woo Hoo, Good for us.

We went to the Eagle watch on Saturday Jan 6,2016 at Kaw City.  It was pretty chilly and we have had a lot of gray days.  We got to see the presentation from Sutton Aviation Center.  Bensar - the male eagle was there and we got some nice pictures of him with the iPhone.

We went on the bus to where spotting scopes were set up-but could not see much.  We learned that there are not as many eagles down south this year because of the El Nino.  They are still able to fish up north - so no need to fly south.
We went to Aunt Mary's 90th birthday party on Saturday Jan 23, 2016 at Woodward.  It was a nice party and Aunt Mary looked great.

On Friday the 29th of January - I got my hair trimmed and went to the YMCA for walking. We drove to Arkansas City, KS and watched our nephews play basketball! Landon played the whole game, but it was very close and Parker didn't get to play. Landon's knee was not good at the end of the game and some guy knocked him down pretty hard, so he had to have help to the sideline. They played a rough and tumble game with very few fouls called. It was exciting though! We enjoyed it. They won by 1 point!  Hard on the old ticker!!

We tried to go to the Sirloin Stockade -but it was closed at 9:30 PM - so we went back to Arby's. We had warm weather on Saturday and Sunday and took the dogs out to walk at CCC Lake on Saturday and out to the country on Sunday. Well this month finally finished and we move on to February. A little closer to spring every day!
