December 1 - 15, 2021 And so it begins, The Christmas Season

Well December rolled around and it's all about Christmas for awhile! On Wednesday (1st) we finished our outside Christmas decorations and put up the Christmas Tree inside. We also decorated a few other places with our Christmas collections.

The Angel can still fit in her dress! LOL

Thursday we were up and around a little earlier than usual. We left at 8:45 to drive to Enid for a funeral. My brother-in-law's sister died and so we attended the funeral. When we arrived home we mailed some cards and I visited with Linda at her beauty shop. I also checked at Thorn's for presents to buy. Tonight, Dallas beat the Saints in football. Friday we headed to Stillwater for Steve's Orthotics appointment. We also went shoe shopping for Steve and he got two new pairs! In addition, we stopped at Hobby Lobby, Lowe's and the Walmart Market. We had lunch at home then rested.  Later we drove to Ponca City and Met Pam & JC at Perkins restaurant for supper and visiting.

Outdoor Light Displays in Ponca City!

Saturday we watched the Big 12 Championship football game. It was good but my team, OK State got beat by Baylor. I was also on the phone with Dish arguing about a bill. I had it turned off, but was still getting billed. I believe I got it resolved to my advantage though. Sunday was pretty much a relaxing day with naps and football. I fixed a nice meatloaf, baked potatoes, and salad for supper!

Monday (6th)we were up and around early to head to OKC to the VA. Steve had his annual appointment with the SCI clinic. He checked out good! They will order and MRI to check his MS. We were home by 11:30. So we rested and took a nap. Tuesday (7th) we did the routine things and then wrapped some presents. I also had to order some contacts, which requires a trip to their office here in Perry to pay for them in advance. While we were out we also had to replenish the dogs' heartworm meds. The air pressure indicator in the car kept saying my tires were low - so we checked them and got them aired up. We had supper out with Linda & Hazel. Wednesday we pretty much did routine things and I started checking the Christmas list twice (just like Santa)! LOL! I had Steve practice paying the bills online and we did other bookkeeping business. Thursday (9th) we got new tag stickers for the Car and RV. Then we went to Walmart at Stillwater for groceries and supplies. Linda wanted us to meet up with her and Hazel at CCC Lake for pictures and we had a lot of fun. Stetson and Nadia were there also. We had a great time acting crazy! Then we ate out at Texas Roadhouse in Stillwater. YUM!

Friday we just hung out and did some more wrapping and adding bows to presents. Somedays - we don't do a lot. Saturday (11) was an excursion to OKC to meet Kristi and John for more Christmas shopping. We were trying to wrap this shopping thing up. We went to Target, Quail Springs Mall, Eskimo Joes, etc. Our lunch was at Black Bear Diner. Steve and I also stopped at Cabela's before we went home. Big day! We were pooped when we got home. Sunday was a relaxing day with football. Dallas won their gam and we watched Football most of the day. We had Pot Roast, potatoes and carrots for supper.

Monday (13th) Part of our morning routine seems to be catching up on TV shows from the previous night that we recorded. Today we watched Yellowstone. We did errands around town and got cash for Christmas presents. We also drove the car through the car wash. Today also included laundry and present wrapping.

I love the colors and patterns of the soap at the Car Wash!

Tuesday (14th)we did all the routine items and I also made labels fro the Christmas Cards. Then I assisted Steve in hanging some new kitchen curtains. It was a big deal to hang the curtains - because they were off by a centimeter - and he had to get them straight. Plus he ironed them. So this turned into a real project! LOL

Curtains are hung!

Tonight we ate supper with Hazel, Linda and Stetson at La Macarena. On Wednesday (15th) Steve was busy working on a stand for the old RV TV to use as a computer monitor while I putzed around on the computer. I think he got somewhat frustrated and that project is on the back burner. The afternoon was a little blah.
