July 27 - August 2, 2019

July 27 - Saturday
Today was a routine day. Pretty busy at the lake, since it was 80 degrees and sunny. This type of weather brings out the fishermen, boaters and swimmers. One of the Game Wardens was here for a while, then later our regular Game Warden, Justin was also here. The boat education volunteers also came out. They are trying to educate people about invasive species, the wake rule, and keeping the noise level down. We  went to town and ate a hamburger and fries at Burgertown - home of the Flathead Burger. They make the best burgers and fries around!  The place is always packed!

July 28 - Sunday
I got up at 9 AM because I slept poorly. I didn't get to sleep until about 2:30 or 3:00 AM . Steve was up because he was uncomfortable also. Sometimes the sleep is just difficult. We walked part way around the loop road and did our chores. Our lunch was a peanut butter sandwich along with yogurt and cookies. About 1:00 PM I helped the boat volunteer get started, then I took a nap. Tonight we just had nachos and ice cream for supper. Again the Lake was buy because it was 80 degrees and sunny! Everyone enjoys the lake when the weather is nice! Steve & I took the dogs to Krause's circle and walked, then back to the RV for some TV.

Monday - July 29 -82 degrees and sunny
Today we did our chores including going to town and doing the Bigfork Access site. While we were in town we made stops at the grocery and hardware store. For lunch we had frozen dinners. We watched some TV and I took a nap. Steve did some stuff outside - he always finds a few things to tinker with.
A cute little flower I saw walking

Flowers at the grocery store in Bigfork

Tuesday - July 30- 84 degrees and sunny
After breakfast, walk and chores, Steve finished the steps that go toward the lake. It is steep to walk down to the lake - so these steps are pretty handy. Since it was hot -we watched TV in the afternoon. I bought a flower to put on the stump by the steps - a little landscaping!  Making our spot pretty.

Wednesday - July 31 - 89 degrees!
Before we completed our walk, we called Austyn (our granddaughter) and wished her a Happy 17th Birthday! We got up late and it was hot in the parking lot while we did our chores.  If you get in the shade - it is nice, but the sun beating down can make you feel really hot. The afternoon  found us staying cool in the RV. For supper we went to town and got pizza. It was too hot to cook. We also picked up ice cream to bring home. Tonight we watched Yellowstone - we have been trying to keep up with it this summer. Then it was shower and bed.
Another lovely sunset

Thursday - August 1 - 90 degrees!
Today we got up at 7 AM and did our routines. We also check the car counter and notified our boss. We beat the heat this morning. Next we went to Kalispell to the FWP (Fish, Wildlife & Pakrs) office, and Walmart. On our way back to the RV - we check out the carved bears place and got two Christmas ornaments.  We love those bear carvings. We were back to the RV by noon. We ate leftover pizza for lunch . Then naps were in order. Again we stayed inside until it cooled off.

Friday - August 2 - 90 degrees at 5 PM
Again we tried to get up about 7:30 or 8 AM to do our chores and walk before it got too hot. We went to Bigfork and did our duty there. While in town, we stopped at the Grateful Bread and had our favorite dish there - Quiche!  Our favorite places to eat in Bigfork are:  Grateful Bread, Burgertown and Rosa's Pizza!  We stayed inside during the heat of the afternoon. During the evening we went to the Notch Trail and walked. Across the road from the trailhead is a forest place where people practice shooting.  So we also picked up some shells to give Logan (our grandson). He was interested in          them when he was up here.
