June 1 - June 4, 2021 Routines keep us going

Jun 1 Tues

Today after the routine things we do every day we went to town. We stopped at the hardware store (Sliters) and checked on the access site. Next we picked up some groceries and drove through the car wash. We made it home in time for lunch. The lake wasn’t too busy today, I guess the holiday is over! Steve did more research on the heater. We drove up to Strawberry Lake Trailhead which was nice and peaceful.

This morning after our chores, we had a call from Dr. Ramadi. We explained that Steve is still having a lot of back pain, so he increased his medication (gabapentin). Then we got our laundry ready and went to town. We had lunch after the laundry was done. It was quiche at the Grateful Bread. After we arrived home, we walked the dogs and took a nap.

Wild Roses smell wonderful!

We  completed our routine chores and then sat outside awhile, It was 76 degrees at 11 AM - pretty nice. Today some school kids were here with kayaks. (Pictures above) They really looked festive as they paddled across the lake. Steve wrenched his upper back somehow, so he didn’t do much this afternoon. The boss called and said the dust control would be out soon.

I sent another message through Myhealthevet. We completed our chores here and then went to town to clean the  fishing access site there. We also went to the grocery store. Tony Powell came by to check on us. As he was leaving the dust control came by to spread out oil. This is to keep the dust down. Otherwise the dust would probably overtake us. We have things turned in to us (lost & found). We have 3 sets of keys so far. Most of the time, no one returns for stuff they left. About 4 PM the sheriff came by and said someone complained that their vehicle had been damaged by the oil from the dust control people. I gave him the boss’s card to call him. I also called our boss and let him know.

Beautiful Blue Sky!
