June 5 - 15, 2021 The beginning of June

The weekend of Jun 5 & 6 was pretty routine. Saturday was windy and then Sunday was cool about 50-58 degrees. We did all the routine things and hung out at the RV. On Sunday we had a nice little campfire and also put our trail camera for a view of the lake and our visitors.

Monday we did weed eating and later we took a drive to Bear Creek Road. There was a nice creek and the dogs enjoyed their excursion. There were some college kids (I assume) doing a study on snapping turtles. They are trying to trap them - eventually they didn’t have any luck, so I don’t know how their study went. Steve helped them back their boat in the water.

Don't turn Montana into the S...Hole State you left.

The highlight for Tuesday the 8th was a trip to Bish RV to return the thermostat and then to Walmart for supplies. We had another campfire and sat outside a bit.

Wednesday I had been up late the night before and it was raining so I returned to bed to read. Thursday it rained all day and we mostly stayed inside and watched the rain and TV. Tony P was here to bring us a couple of lifejackets. I made some chicken soup for supper. Friday’s highlight was weed eating. We also moved our game camera by a deer trail. Hopefully we get some cool pics of the deer. We also drove to Horseshoe Lake and saw about 5 deer and 2 turkeys on our drive.

On Saturday the 12th, it was rainy most of the morning and cool. So we stayed inside and watched a conference on Multiple Sclerosis. It was very informative. We enjoyed another campfire outside in the evening. On Sunday we sat outside and visited with some people about workamping. A nap may have been taken and that was about the highlight. It got up 85 degrees on Sunday the 13th of June.

On Monday the 14th we did all the routine things. For supper we returned to town for pizza. When we got back to the Lake we found out a rock had been pushed out of place and was almost blocking the dock. So we used Steve’s tow rope and got it out of the way.

I tried to let a guy know that he had parked in a tow away zone with his pickup and boat trailer - and he did not take it very well. Oh well, you can’t win them all. Tuesday I woke up  from a poor night’s sleep. But anyway we did our routine chores and then did some weed eating all the way to the stop sign. Steve does the majority of the weed eating - but I try to give him a few breaks. That evening (June 15th) a thunderstorm came up. We were out of electricity all night. Thank goodness we have a generator and water in our fresh tank, We made out fine.
