23-Mon-We woke up about 7:15 and had breakfast. We walked the dogs and then made our preparations to leave. We continued on Hiway 2 East until we arrived at Duluth. We stopped at a rest stop to see Duluth harbor. It was a beautiful view. We saw Lake Superior. We spent quite a bit of time here admiring the harbor. It was magnificent. We drove on and crossed into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We stayed overnight at Curry Park in Ironwood, MI. It was a city park and only cost $35.00 There were lots of trees - so TV was out of the question. I think we watched some DVDs.

25-Wed-We we had made arrangements to visit the Green Bay Packers football stadium. So we got our dogs walked and I fixed my hair. After we got around we drove to Green Bay. We bought our tickets and toured their Hall of Fame. Then our tour started and we got to see Lambeau Field. The tour guides gave us lots of information about the stadium and history of the Green Bay Packers. We really enjoyed it. We got back to the RV and had a snack. After a rest, we drove up to Sturgeon Bay with the dogs and took some nice pictures. It was a nice evening. We watched a movie because we couldn’t get satellite signal.

26-Thu-We had breakfast and walked the dogs. Then we got ready to leave. We pulled into the dump station to empty our tanks and then we hooked up the pickup, but the lights didn’t work. So we drove to a spot in the campground and parked. Steve worked on the light core. He finally got it fixed and we left at 11:50 Am. we were on our way south in Wisconsin. We had a hard time fining a gas station were we could fit. Finally we found one and we went on to Wisconsin Dells. We stayed at the KOA there and arrived about 3 PM. We were pretty tired. Also when we pulled into the site - the guy who escorted us got us too close to a tree stump that would interfere with our slide out. so we had to move over a bit. Theses sites were tight and expensive. I would not stay here again. We went downtown to Monk’s Bar and Grill and had a hamburger. It was not that great either. I did not know it but basically, Wisconsin Dells is the Branson of the north. A real tourist trap. It would be great for kids.

27-Fri-We did our regular things this morning. Later we took showers and took it easy. We went to Walmart for some supplies. Then we putzed around. I was going to get us on a boat tour - but I thing we were just too tired.
28-Sat-We got around this morning and continued south after our morning routine. We finally got on an interstate and drove to Cedar Rapids, IA. Where we stopped to get gas they had some great chicken strips that we had for lunch. We stayed at Morgan Creek County Park campground. It only cost us $35. Again we had a nice place to walk and it was a pull thru. But we could not get the satellite dish to come in. Too many trees.

29-Sun-We did our morning routine. We left Cedar Rapids, IA and drove to Kansas City, MO. We stayed at World’s of Fun RV Park. It was pretty nice. There is an amusement park there also.We did have trouble with the 30 amp plug in. So we used our dog bone and plugged into the 50 amp plug. The weather has definitely changed! It’s hot!

We got the pickup disconnected and hooked the RV up to utilities. After we got settled in we went to visit my sister pam and her husband JC. We took them and my great nephew Parker to eat at Chilis. We visited and then returned to the RV.

Lots of country out there to see. I toured Lambeau Field, ate at a hole-in-the-wall bar and watch the ships pass through the locks further up. Beautiful country.
