October 8 -15, 2025 Get Back Into The Swing of Being Home!

8-Wed-We got up about 8 AM and had breakfast. After making the bed and getting dressed, we unloaded stuff from the RV and put it away. We got the food and clothes first. Then other items. Steve started checking out the brakes on the pickup. I started opening and sorting the mail. Steve decided the brakes on the pickup were more of a job than he could handle. So we will find someone to work on it. By the way, our high temps are in the 90's for the next four days. We should have stayed in Montana longer! LOL

9-Thu-We found a mechanic that has a shop north of town who will be able to work on the pickup brakes. Then we took my car to the the oil change place here in Perry (Graham’s) and got the left rear tire fixed. It had a nail or bolt in it. It was $20 to fix the tire. I have had many tires repaired in the past for less than $5. Anyway that was cheaper than a new tire. We went by Hazel’s for more mail. Then we made it back to the house. I worked on the mail again. Steve got weeds out of the flower beds. Later we went to Linda’s for hairdos.Then we went home and had some snacks and watched TV. Supper was sloppy joes and french fries.

10-Fri-We completed our morning routine and left for Walmart about 9:15. We were back home by noon and got all our stuff put away. We had lunch and then watched some TV. Later we worked on Quicken to catch up our bookkeeping. 

11-Sat-We had breakfast and made the bed and got dressed. I guess we had a mouse invasion this summer while we were gone and Steve is cleaning out under the sink and setting mouse traps. I started working on laundry. We watched some football. We took money to the mechanic (Colby Brewer) to get the work started on the pickup. Supper was Cajun potato skins, salad and berries.

My OK State Football team has not been doing good. But the fans (boys) made a supportive statement at the game today. They went shirtless in a whole section of seats. I think it went viral on the internet.

12-Sun-I guess we took it pretty easy today. I didn’t write down much. We watched football all day. Dallas lost, Denver won. We had Canadian bacon, scrambled eggs, toast and berries for supper.

13-Mon-Today we had some light rain all day. We putzed around in the morning and worked on Quicken in the afternoon.We did a few loads of laundry. Then we watched football. 

14-Tue-We went to the bank and then went by Linda’s beauty shop. Her air conditioner broke. Steve went to our house and got one of our window units out of the shed for her to use. He got it installed in the window so she could have cool air. We were home by about 2 PM. Then we relaxed and watched TV. We had supper at La Macarena.

15-Wed-Not much to report today. We worked on straightening the garage. Then we watched some TV and rested. We went to Braum’s for supper.
