June 22 through June 28, 2019 Touring the Fish Hatchery, Strawberry Lake Trailhead and Krause's Loop Trail

Saturday - June 22
We got up late, but did our routine chores and had breakfast. We also walked the beach north of us. Then we sat around outside. I made steak, eggs and potatoes skillet for lunch.  It was tasty. Everyone is tired and took naps . Not many people here at the lake. About 4 PM we made a fire and sat around. We visited and listened to music. We all went to town later and ate at Flathead Brewing Company. We had a long wait to be seated. We finally got to eat about 8 PM and left about 8:45 PM. We picked up some cereal and milk for breakfast. We sat outside and enjoyed the evening. Finally went inside about 10:30 and went to bed.

Sunday - June 23
It rained off and on today. It was overcast and cool most of the day. While we were sitting outside, we also seasoned our new Blackstone griddle. I checked out the bank and paid some bills. Also fixed our meds for the week. We walked the loop road later and had a fire. Supper was hamburgers fixed on the griddle - followed by roasted marshmallows.

Monday -June 24

It was cool again today, 6 2 was the high. It was rainy in the morning. We got up late again and took the dogs for a short walk. After the chores were done we went to town and did our errands: trash, post office, cleaned Bigfork access. We had lunch at Rosa's Pizza. Our plan was to sit on the balcony to eat but it started raining and got chilly so we went back inside. Some of us took naps. Steve did weed eating for about 2 hours. We just scrounged around for supper. Kristi and the kids call it "Every Man for Himself."

Tuesday - June 25
We got up a little earlier today. Kristi and Austyn joined us walking the dogs. We completed the chores and Tony ( boss) came by and marked where the dust control solution should be put down. Then we all loaded up and went to check ou the fish hatchery, the the Krause tree circle and the Strawberry Lake Trailhead. We had chicken on the griddle, beans and potatoes in foil for our supper. The wind came up and we put away the awning. We came inside and waited out the wind then back outside for a campfire and S'mores. I asked a guy on a jet ski if he knew he was in a "No Wake" zone. He said no - but would pay better attention. I shooed some kids off the dock. The girls played Skipbow and the boys played checkers. I warned some more folks about their stray dogs and the need for leashes.

Wednesday - June 26
We got up  and found out our new awning material had arrived. I talked with Pam & Marsha. I also checked on my meds at Walmart to see if they were ready to pick up. Then we headed to Kalispell and I got new hiking shoes. Lunch was at the Panda Express. Then we went to Walmart - what a mess, it was packed!  The Kalispell Walmart is always busy and many times things are not stocked well. We picked up the awning at Gardners RV and headed home. Later I had a nap. Kristi fixed us fajitas for supper. The awning material is too long -- of course. Darn! We walked the dogs and watched some TV and went to bed, we were pooped.
Thursday - June 27
Today was cool, misty and rainy. We continues with our routine here at Echo Lake and the Bigfork Access. I tried to find an upholstery person in Bigfork, most are busy until after the 4th of July.  Back at the RV I started calling a lot of upholstery people at Kalispell- only made one possible connection. Told him I would get back with him. The Engine batter on the RV was dead yesterday. I fixed cheesy potatoes and Pork Chops for supper. Steve is worried about fixing the awning - me too!

Friday - June 28
Today we ended up doing laundry in town after our other chores were done. Steve and I also got haircuts! We got ice cream (mixed with Dole  whip out of a cute trailer in town. When we returned to the RV our boss (Tony) showed up. I visited with him. They are supposed to put down the dust control today - but nothing happened by 4 PM. We sat outside and enjoyed the pretty cool weather - 69 degrees and 96 degrees at home (Perry, OK). You can't beat this Montana weather!
