These are the informative signs that sent us on a hunt for the dinosaurs!s |
The mountains were gorgeous today. We stopped for gas at Big Timber and walked the dogs and had lunch. The guys got a T shirt and then we were on our way. Steve conferred with me about stopping in Bozeman, MT at the Museum of the Rockies so Logan could see dinosaurs. And I agreed that it would be a great idea. This museum was really nice! It was easy to park the RV and leave the generator running for the dogs while we toured the museum. There was a big display about Genghis Khan. We also saw a film about Apollo moon flight in the planetarium. Then we looked at the dinosaur area. We spent about 2 1/2 hours there. We could have returned the next day also with the purchase of our ticket, but we needed to get to our workamp location.
We stayed at Bozeman Hot Springs RV Park. I believe this used to be a KOA, but was purchased by Bozeman Hot Springs. So you have access to the Hot Springs and they also provide you breakfast. The price for one night was about $70 for a FHU pull-thru. We ate turkey bacon and eggs for supper. Logan went swimming in the Hot Springs area, while we rested. Later we walked over to the Hot Springs and told him to return to the RV so we could have a fire and S'mores. I finally remembered to call and suspend our Direct TV at home and paid some bills!
