September 20, 2019 Friday Touring the Tetons in the Rain

After breakfast, we got dressed and walked the dogs. It was cool - 40 degrees and raining! About 10:30 we got in gear and drove back to Grand Teton NP.

It is very cloudy and raining lightly - pictures may not be as pretty. I went to the Visitor Center and got some stuff and looked around.  The Visitor Center is a very modern looking structure. Steve stayed in the pickup with the dogs and didn't go inside.

Then we drove around and looked things over. We got to Jenny Lake and it poured down rain and the pickup said a tire was low so we decided to head back to the RV. We looked at some nice cabins and the Jenny Lake Lodge.

Loved the light in the clouds

I would like to return here in the winter and stay in the Jenny Lake Lodge.  The cabins and lodge look so cozy. When we were on our way back we stopped to see a church built in 1925 - Chapel of The Transfiguration. As we returned to the RV we got in another moose jam. I didn't get a picture but Steve did. His camera has a long lens and he can take better pictures with it.  The iPhone just doesn't do long distance pictures very well. I made us a late lunch of chili when we got back to the RV and we took a little nap. Later we walked the dogs and snacked for supper. Then it was TV and rain.

OK when I import pictures, sometimes they just go where they want! I think I got them back in order.  But the pictures are just too pretty to leave out. So enjoy them!
