September 27, 2019 - Friday Arriving Home

We got up and had our breakfast and walked the dogs. Next, we readied ourselves to head home. We tried to avoid the heat, but once we were done sight-seeing - we were pretty much ready to get home.
Some of these pictures are from yesterday's drive!

By the time we got to Wichita, KS, it was getting hot.

HOT
We had been running the generator for the air conditioner all day. We stopped a bit to let the dogs have a break. It was very HOT with a strong southerly wind! We stopped at a rest stop in Oklahoma also, to check on the driver's side mirror. It was messed up. It would not stay in place. Upon arriving at Perry it was 95 degrees!  TOO HOT! We went to the south exit on I-35 and dumped our tanks and flushed them again. Then we disconnected the pickup and put away the tow bar. I drove the pickup home and Steve drove the RV. We left it outside the gate but in the driveway until we get the satellite dish off. The house air conditioner didn't come right on because it needed a new battery in the thermostat. Steve took care of that but it took awhile to cool off because it was so hot! Really HOT! We worked on cooling off - Kristi and the kids came up and we met them at La Macarena for supper. After supper we returned to the house and Logan helped Steve get the satellite dish off the RV. We were relaxing and noticed Logan started carrying stuff into the house for us. So we got up and helped him unload the important stuff out of the RV. Then we took it easy and later went to bed.
