6/412 Monday - Cortez CO -- Fixing Vehicles

Well last night we were watching TV and then heard a big pop and lots of lights went out in the RV park! A transformer had blown! We walked up to the office and asked where we should take cover because we thought someone was shooting at us. They said it was a transformer and someone was coming to fix it so we went back to the RV and opened windows for coolness and got to sleep. About the time I got to sleep -- the big trucks came and woke me up-- then I was awake for about an hour and back to sleep. When we got up we called Cortez Auto for checking the pick-up out but they couldn't look at it til Wednesday -- so we called Big O tires and they got the pick-up in-- it needed new rotors, brake pads, upper ball joints, and calipers plus tires. We got all that done -- and now we are poorer!! We waited at the RV and the mobile RV repair person came and checked on the front wheels of the RV and put new bearings in for us. Then about 5:30 or 6:00 PM we got the pickup-- it drives much better and we ate supper at a Mexican restaurant. After eating we went for a drive to Dolores CO where there was a nice park and we let the dogs run and took a few pictures of the river on the way home. Rufus had trouble in the night and we were back up in the middle of the night for an hour taking him outside.
