Thursday, August 10, 2017 - Moving On

We walked the dogs and packed stuff up to move - not too far to drive today , so no hurry--we took a few more pictures.
Steve pointed out the deer to me, they were on the edge of the campground on the east side. It was very cool and misty this morning. We drove down a skinny road - not much room, so we turned onto WA 12 then back to the West on 101. I got some pictures of Elwha River (where the dam was removed).
Then we entered Olympic NP and had a nice drive along Lake Crescent - took lots of pictures. It was a lovely drive.
We got to Forks, about 2 or 2:30 PM. WE got set up and walked the dogs and had some lunch. Steve and I drove dow n to the visitor's center--This is one of the towns in the Twilight Series - Austyn loves Twilight - we got her a T-shirt and Logan a Bigfoot T shirt.
Then we rested. We got in the pickup and drove to Kalaloch Beach 4 to look for whales and walk the dogs - too misty - if whales were there we would not have been able to see them. So it was back to Forks for hamburgers and ice cream at a roadside diner.
