Wednesday, August 2, 2017 Leaving La Conner
Woo Hoo! Today is moving day. Out of the dust bowl. We got out of the tight site carefully, then hooked up the pickup and dumped. Next we were on our way to the South --about Tacoma Washing to McChord AF base to stay at Holiday Park FamCamp. I got a great selfie of the dogs this morning and off we went about 11:00 AM.
We got to Seattle about 12:40. The drive was good - way better than Dallas, Denver and Salt Lake City. The speed is 60 mph and traffic went pretty good. They have stoplights at the on ramps - which is really helpful. We couldn't see or get good pictures because of the smoke--it is from the fires in Canada. In addition, they are having a heat wave the next few days. It only made it up to 95 though.
These pictures are right out the window of the RV - so not great - just a few shots.
We got to the FamCamp about 3:00 PM. We are so happy to be here . They have blacktop road and Full Hook-ups! So happy and beautiful trees, that have been trimmed and it doesn't look like a jungle.
We went out for Pizza.
Today I was able to get my 10,000 steps in.
