We got up and around in pretty good time. Steve had worked on our light hook-up for the pickup about 2 hours on Saturday. Well, guess what! When we hooked up the pickup to the RV and plugged in the light cord, the Left blinker on the RV made the Right blinker on the Pickup blink! NO brake lights, no left blinker on the pickup. Since we weren't going far, we decided to not worry about it and just go on to Cedar City.
The speed on I-15 in Utah is 80 mph in some places! Needless to say, we did not go that fast. Our usual speed is about 60. When we got to Cedar City, we decided to stop at Walmart for supplies. We did that and then went to the RV park and set up. The lady in the office could not get the square apparatus on her iPhone to work- so she took a check for our stay. We did not realize it, but we were tired! We took a little nap. Then I fixed us a pizza in our convection oven and we watched TV.
Tuesday
The plan today was to do some inside chores since it was raining. First we had to go to the lumber store for a 2X4. When we got ready to change the air conditioner filters we noticed that the paneling piece holding our extra bedding was sagging and interfering with the slide-out. Therefore, Steve pondered how to fix it and we went and got supplies. The guy at the Lumber store asked us where we
were from, and we told him Oklahoma. He wondered what we were doing and we told him we were touring and then going to a volunteer job in Idaho. He said had been to Oklahoma to buy horses for the ranch. He looked kinda like a cowboy, at least he wore boots, but his jeans were inside his boots. Anyway he was friendly.
When we returned Steve fixed that problem. It took some time, but went pretty well. Then we had lunch and the weather cleared. Next up: the lights! Oh boy, we both worked on this. I would turn on the blinkers and lights and we put our heads together to get the wires right. It took most of the afternoon, but finally everything started working right. It required lots of choice words! When we finished, it started raining, then hailing. We had to hurry to get the tools put away before the rain started coming in torrents!
Anyway we ate supper (I did not cook because I cooked breakfast).
TV then showers and bed!
Hopefully we will go sightseeing tomorrow!
