Wednesday, April 29, 2015 Putzing and The Freemont Street Experience

The videos were posted in Facebook!
Well today we started out putzing around.  Steve made the speaker on my side work, so I can hear the music!! Yeah!  Also as an update to yesterday, I got my 10,000 steps in!  Woo Hoo!  I think I had 9,375 steps on Wednesday.
After the putzing, we took the dogs to the dog park.  They love it!  It has grass and there are birds to chase!
After it got dark, we went downtown.  We headed to the Golden Nugget and parked in their lot.  It was free with a validated parking ticket.  Well, we almost had a wreck trying to get to an empty spot.  Steve saw one and thought he could back up and get to it.  Well the problem was, there was a small car behind us that he didn't see and he bumped them.   But he got out and they got out and looked at it and they said nothing was hurt!  All Good!  Finally, found a parking place, took a picture of the spot so we could make it back, then made our way inside the casino, hotel, eating place.
We ate salads and good bread at Claimjumpers.  My Caesar salad was nothing to write home about!  I have had better at the Sidewalk cafe in Enid!  Next we watched the show on Freemont Street.  It is a video playing overhead.  It shows every hour. There is a zip line people can ride!  It was really cool!  We people watched- very interesting!  You can only believe it if you see it!  Pretty wild.

The guys we saw drumming on 5 gallon buckets were great!  We donated to their cause.

We spent about $35.00 in the casino and about $30.00 on supper.  So we thought we got out pretty cheap!  We did not get our parking ticket validated, but the manager of the restaurant signed our receipt.  Well the parking attendant was not happy with us, but gave us free parking anyway!  SCORE!
We went home and took it easy!  We survived another night of Vegas!

  1. Good for you in getting your 10,000 steps in! I am lucky if I can get a half mile in. It's a pain when your back hurt so bad that you can't walk. Have fun!
