July 25, 2015 Saturday Opening New Wing

Today we slept in until 9:00.  Then we walked the dogs.  Today is the opening of the new wing of the the museum.  The ribbon cutting is at 10:00 AM - so there are already lots of people  here when we walked the dogs.  Maybe we should have gotten up earlier.  Oh Well.
We got dressed and went to the Ribbon Cutting for the new wing.

We checked it out and then decided to go to Priest River for their Timber Days Celebration.

What a nice drive.  The scenery is lovely!  The weather was cool - so we left the dogs in the pickup with the windows down and watched a few of the contests.  We also toured the booths.  Steve almost bought an artistic saw- but finally decided not to buy it.  We drove to Sandpoint on our way home and checked out the city beach.  It was still pretty cool (in the 60's) and overcast - so not that many people were at the beach.

We meandered back to the RV and then it started raining.  It rained a lot and we lost the Dish TV signal -so we napped.  We had to put on our ponchos to walk the dogs.  Anyway, it ended up being a lazy evening.
