April 10, 2015 Leaving on an RV train

OK this is the day we have been working towards. Departure Day. We made lots of preparations, lists, pre-planning, worrying, anticipating! It finally arrived! We got up about 8 AM and started the regular chores. We paid a few bills, packed up clothes, personal care items, checked the mail, delivered keys, locked doors, cleaned out the refrigerator, freezer, all kinds of things. We were pooped. I thought we would leave about 1 PM -but it was later. 

 We put the satellite dish on top of the RV, got the tow bar and pickup attached. Then Steve took a shower and we pulled out. We went all the way to the gas station, filled up and then went to Walmart. 

Why Walmart you say, Well the GPS wasn't working and Steve thought it needed a fuse. He was unable to find a fuse that fit, so down to O'Reilly's, they didn't have the fuse either. Next we stopped at Linda's beauty shop and said a few more goodbyes there. Finally about 4 PM we rolled out of Perry. 

Meanwhile Steve had investigated why the GPS didn't work. It was a bad wire in the plug in portion. OK, well we decided we would stop at Camping World in OKC and get a new one.  Next stop, Kristi's house in El Reno, OK.  She had a nice supper waiting for us and then we went and parked at Lake El Reno West RV Park.  It is a nice location, not many parked here, $20 per night for FHU.  We connected the utilities, de-winterized, put down the jacks and extended the slides.  Logan stayed overnight in the RV with us!  Then we relaxed a little and went to bed.
