Friday, April 17, 2015 Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum

Today we got up and checked out our pickup and RV in the daylight.  It looks like we made out fine, no damage from last night's hailstorm.  Spots of hail stones still on the ground when we went out.  It was about 46 degrees this morning when we got outside.
We got around and picked up Irene then drove to Canyon, TX and toured the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum.  It is also called The Smithsonian with a Texas Accent.  Admission is $10.00 each for adults.  It is well worth the price!  The exhibits are housed on three floors.  It has oil field exhibits, old cars, windmills, fossils, Native American Artifacts, pioneer displays, clothing displays, art and tons of other stuff.  We walked until we were pooped out.

Lunch was late and we ate at Schlotzsky's, YUM!!  After we got home, Steve and I and the dogs sat outside and enjoyed the nice afternoon.  Then lo and behold, Steve started having Walmart withdrawals.  So we had to go to Walmart and get a few supplies.  We also went to Best Buy to get a lens cover for his camera.  When we got home, we hitched the pickup to the RV and then took it easy for awhile.  We plan to move out tomorrow!!  Heading West!!
