Monday & Tuesday Sept 14 &15, 2015 Driving Days

Monday--
After the usual morning routine, we hit the road.  We left Mountain Home Air Force Base Gunfighters, Monday at 11:00 AM.

We also bought gas on base before we hit the road.  We are still paying about $2.85-$3.00 per gallon.

We hit the interstate and headed east and then southeast until we arrived at Crystal Hot Springs Campground at Honeyville, UT.  We checked in and the young lady who took our money put us in a spot where we would have to totally unhook and back in.  We walked back to the RV and the camp host came out and said, you don't need to unhook, just pull into one of the pull throughs in the center. Boy were we glad he knew what he was doing, because we didn't want to unhook the pickup! Yea.

So we set up  the RV and walked the dogs and had supper.

Tuesday--
When we woke up it was raining pretty good.  We put on our ponchos and walked the dogs a little.  It was really funny because Zoey would only walk under the RV, she did not want to get rained on!  Buster learned her trick and did it also! Dogs aren't dumb!

Oh we are also noticing the temperature in the refrigerator, it is not cooling.  It was about 54 degrees when we left at 10:30 AM and at 1:30 PM it was almost 60 degrees.
First off, we got some gas and hit the road.  It rained and rained.  As we got near Salt Lake City, it poured and we debated about stopping or continuing on.

Steve was doing an excellent job of driving, and so we just continued to go slow and the rest of the traffic was going slow too.

And then it cleared!

We made it through fine.  Some people back home were worried about us because they heard about floods in Utah.  The flash floods were a long ways south of us and we were fine.  We stopped and got gas when we turned off I-15and onto Highway 50.  It was very windy at this stop!  But we went on to where we had reservations for the night.  We got settled in and got our ice chests out of the back of the pickup.  We unloaded the frig and freezer into two small ice chests and have now determine the refrigerator is not working.
Our site is so narrow that we only have half a picnic table!  We love the name of this campground, Butch Cassidy Campground, but it has very tight sites.

We took a pretty good walk and fixed some chili for supper.

We settled in and took it easy for the rest of the night.
