Today I received the other part of my birthday present! We took the History Cruise on the Lake Pend Orielle Cruise line. It was a windy, sunny day, so I was sure to take a jacket. We stopped in Athol to get seasickness prevention medicine and go to the post office.
We arrived early, and walked the city beach at Sandpoint, ID. Sandpoint is quite a nice town. Lots of biking and walking trails. It has lots of cute tourist shops also.
The boat cruise started right on time and was very reasonable. It cost $22 for adults and $20 for those 60 and over. I took advantage of my new 60 years of age discount. They had snacks and drinks to purchase, but we were afraid to eat, because we didn't want to be sick or have to use the head.
We had cashews and water.
It took about and hour and a half and covered a very small portion of Lake Pend OReille. We saw some expensive lakeside homes! WOW!
We found out a round trip from top to bottom of the lake would take about 9 hours. We enjoyed the cruise and hope to do it again in the future.
Next we walked around the downtown area a little bit and had a hamburger at McDiff's. It was a great burger! Then back to the RV to walk the doggies!
Saturday-
I think today we just hung around the RV and also we took some hikes. It was rainy part of the day, so we hiked between rain storms.
Oh, Steve cleaned the shower. He turned the shower on/off with the button. He accidently did not turn off the shower at the handle.
Later in the day (evening), we had an overflow of water. Steve ran outside and pulled the gray tank and drained the water. Then we ran into the Brig and borrowed the shop vac so we could vaccuum up the water. Oh boy, what a mess. Oh well, we did as good as we could and will shampoo the carpet soon.
