Thursday, September 10, 2015 Heading Out

We got up about the regular time and got around.  The first thing was to get the RV squared away inside.  This took awhile. Then we start the process:  Lower the satellite dish, take noodles off bedroom slide, pull slides in, lift jacks, pick up orange jack pads.  Next unhook all utilities - water, electric, sewer.
Then we are ready to back up the RV.  Steve did a great job and did not hit the Brig!
Then we pull the RV up and hook up the pickup.
Take Picture.

Stop by shop, try to say good-bye to vol. coor- she is not there, called visitor center and checked to see if we had any mail.  Stopped in Athol and left a mail forwarding card, just in case.  Got gone about 10:45 AM. Then we drove to Hayden, to Walmart to return the carpet shampooer!  Got ice and did the GEO method on tank sensors.
Here are some of the huge stacks of logs we saw.  They are being sprinkled.
Then we were headed south. We saw some huge hills and lots of farmground where wheat had been harvested.

We saw some great barns.

Then we got Lewistown, ID.  It was a scary ride downhill with 5-6 runaway truck ramps and it seemed to me that the brakes got hot.  Something was stinking, we never did identify what it was exactly.

We stopped at Spalding, ID at the Nez Perce National Historic Park.

We watched the movie and looked at the exhibits.  They were interesting, but I was looking for horse information.  We stayed about and hour and then moved on down the road.
Saw another mountainous spot at Winchester Lake (State Park) area.  We were not provisioned well, so we drove on to Grangeville, ID and got a spot at Bear Den RV Resort.  Seems like the sites are level and it is well manicured.  We got the utilities hooked up and unhooked the pickup.  I am tired of gravel sites LOL!
We drove into town for pizza at Pizza Factory!  It was really good, we were starved!
That's it for the day.
