September 2 & 3, 2015 Wednesday and Thursday

Wednesday-
Today was a cool 58 degrees, which is great with sunshine!

We went to Walmart for supplies.  That is always so much fun!  I think we just recovered and walked the dogs after we got home.  We always walk the dogs and see enjoyable sights here at Farragut State Park!

Thursday-
Today we packed our lunch and drove to St. Maries, ID on the White PIne Scenic Byway.

I did more than half the driving today with help from Zoey!

I needed the practice.  We really enjoyed this drive.  You start out by CDA Lake, then through forest areas.

Next we turned off the interstate and saw a herd of elk.  I guess they were on an elk ranch, but still a wonderful sight.

We had our picnic lunch by the St. Maries River.  There was a sportman's access with picnic table.  You can launch your boat, fish and/or picnic.

We toured the little town and then decided to head back to the RV.  This is another area where you could live in beautiful surroundings.  St. Maries is at the junction of two rivers:  St. Maries River and St. Joe River.

We took Rachel into Athol and had ice cream.  She was a seasonal worker who had worked as an archivist at the museum.  She has her Masters degree and has worked all over including Alaska!  We will miss seeing her!  We will miss lots of people and this wonderful park when our season is over.
