Friday, March 6, 2020 We Are Heading West!

We got up and around, then walked the dogs. We made all our preparations to leave, unhooked the utilities and hooked the pickup to the tow bar. Next we found a gas station where the RV would fit, then we were on our way.
A nice entry gate I was able to get a picture of. There are lots of pretty ones. Many even more elaborate than this one!
The GPS sent us down a farm to market road for 17 miles! It was barely wide enough to fit two  vehicles. Steve's great driving  got us through just fine though.
Big Red Ban we saw on our ride on the farm to market road.

Then we joined US 390 and I-10- headed west. We stopped for lunch at the Wagon Wheel Rest stop. It was really nice.

We made some more miles til about 2:30 or 3:00 and then Steve was a little tired so we got of the interstate at Sheffield Texas exit. Which was a practically deserted town about 5 miles away. We got out and walked the dogs and had a snack then got back to super slab.

We arrived at Fort Stockton, Texas about 4:30 or 5:00 and checked into the Hilltop RV Park. The FHU sites here are $30/night, great price. We relaxed, walked the dogs and enjoyed a nice sunset.
