After having breakfast and walking the dogs we made preparations to head out. All we had to do was unhook the utilities. This was no small feat, since it was still windy, cold and overcast! We made a stop for gas and went into Walmart for supplies. By noon, we were out of town and on the road.
Our drive took us down 385 to Marathon, Texas then we drove on to the Stillwell Store and RV Park.

We got the RV all set up (it's basically a gravel lot with connections).

Next we went for a drive (I drove the pickup) to the Black Gap Wildlife Management area and then we drove into Big Bend National Park. We stopped at the entrance station and showed our Old Geezer pass. They printed out a pass that lasts for 7 days!.We didn't go all the way to the visitor's center - we will do that tomorrow when we drive through in the RV. We returned to the RV about supper time. There is no cell phone signal here, but they have pretty good WIFI. We had supper and watched TV.
