We drove through Marble Falls and saw a really neat old building which I found out was the Baker Hotel. It is not occupied now and it is supposed to be haunted. Check it out on the internet, I did. we saw Lake Marble when we went through town also. Lake Marble is fed by the Colorado River.

We arrived in Fredericksburg a little after 1:00 PM. We checked into Oakwood RV Park. It took us awhile to get our RV and Pickup situated because the site was a little short. We finally decided to park the pickup in front of the RV. We walked our dogs and got settled in. I worked on getting us a pass to Enchanted Rock. It is a Texas state natural area and I have heard about it for quite awhile. This was quite a process, but finally able to get it to print in the RV office. The ladies in there were very nice and helpful.
Fredericksburg, Texas was settled by Germans and there are quite a few German restaurants. There are lots of wineries around the Texas Hill country which would interest some people. They have some really fancy buildings and entrances. The other attractions include: LBJ Ranch (National Historic Site & also a Texas State Park), Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, Pioneer Museum, Pacific War Museum, and the Texas Rangers Heritage Center. Not too far away is Pedernale Falls State Park and Old Tunnel State Park and Luchenbach, Texas. The Bluebonnet Festival isn't until April - so we were too early for it.

"Fredericksburg is a city in central Texas, known for its wineries. The city's German heritage is on display at the Pioneer Museum, which features settlers' homesteads and artifacts. In the nearby town square, Marktplatz, the Vereins Kirche is a replica of a 19th-century German church that once stood in the city. The vast National Museum of the Pacific War features WWII exhibits, including a recreated combat zone."
