Saturday & Sunday, February 29, and March 1, 2020 Taking off, South and West

Saturday
This morning we finished packing the RV. There are numerous things that we have to pack at the last minute, including the food from the refrigerator and freezer. We stopped at Walmart to put on the tow bar and hook up the pickup. Steve noticed that we had a bulb burnt out on the brake light in the pickup. So we went into the new Tractor Supply and finally got a bulb and to put in without a problem. Next we bought gas and hit the road.
We arrived at El Reno Lake RV park about 1:00 and hooked up our utilities. The city has made some improvements here, adding a little office and some paved roads. One of the connections was leaking some water- so Steve messed with that for awhile. Logan had a soccer game and we went to Kristi's house and rode with her to Putnam City to watch his soccer game. After it was over we ate at Texas Roadhouse. They were packed - so we waited a long time to get a table and get our food. We finally arrived back at the RV about 10 PM. Logan stayed overnight at the RV with us. He enjoys that.

Sunday
We got up about 8:30 and ate our breakfast and walked the dogs. Next we went to Walmart for a few supplies and also the hardware store for plumbers tape. We returned to the RV and put away our groceries and Logan helped Steve unhook the utilities and hook up the pickup. Next we met Kristi and Austyn at the Mexican food place in El Reno for lunch. Man was it good! Or else I was really hungry. We hugged everyone and took off driving to Wichita Falls, TX. We stayed at the county park right off I-44 in Wichita Falls. Before it got dark we walked to Lucy Park across a swinging bridge and enjoyed stretching our legs. There were some nice flowers and a log cabin you could rent for functions. It was cute. They also had disc golf, a swimming pool, and a nature center. It was a really nice park.
