Monday March 2, 2020 Heading South

For some reason we woke up pretty early  today about 7:30. It was a little chilly when we walked the dogs, so our pace was fast. We unhooked the utilities and left Wichita Falls, Texas about 9:30 AM. It was a nice ride and we enjoyed seeing the sights along the way. One thing I didn't know about was the exotic animal farms (or preserves). I guess that is an interesting business down here - hunts for exotic animals.
We stopped at Jacksboro for gas. We went inside to see if they had cappuccino, but they didn't. We saw a constable there, and asked him what a Texas constable does. He said they  serve papers and work through the courts. He also told us the sheriffs deliver the prisoners. So we learned something today.
We drove on to Stephenviille and stopped at a truck stop for lunch. Somehow we got turned around a bit and had to re-route ourselves. We went through Hico, TX and there was a Billy the Kid Museum there - but didn't stop.
We drove on down to Lampasas, Texas and stayed at Boone RV Park. They were friendly and we also got our propane tank filled.  We probably wouldn't stay at this RV Park again- it had a lot of stationery RV's there. They were probably winter Texans.
There is the Historic Hancock Springs in town, that would appeal to some. Across the street from our RV Park was a giant spur!
