Days Off! Wednesday, Thursday, Friday June 10,11,12, 2015

Wednesday
Today was shopping day, plus we slept in a little late.  First we went to Sports Authority in Hayden, ID to get Steve some hiking shoes and me a new chair!  I also got some low cut hiking shoes.  Next up was O'Reilly's for some JB Weld to try to re-attach (the 2nd time) the hinge of the hood to the fiberglass body of the RV.  Then the wonderful trip to Walmart for all the other needed supplies.  When we got home we were tired!  We grilled steak on our charcoal grill tonight, then had a fire for S'mores.  Martina joined us at the fire and we had a nice visit!

Thursday

Today we hung out at the RV.  Our first order of business was to straighten things up inside.  We had a lot of stuff out of place.  We have to move the RV bright and early on Monday morning so a load of gravel can be delivered for the RV pad site.  We also had to go into Athol and get a few other items that Steve needed for the hood/hinge repair.  Then Steve spent awhile working on prepping the spot for the hinge.  I took a short nap, then held tools while he attached the hinge.  We are hoping it holds this time. A few shots from the Kelso Lake Drive!

Friday
Today we went sight-seeing.
Driving into Sandpoint alongside the stunning Lake Pend Oreille!

We drove to Bonner's Ferry.  It was a lovely drive and we admired all the beautiful views along the way.  This is the forest office at Sandpoint.

We saw the beautiful Kootenai River and decided that we need to return to see their museum.

We had the dogs with us and did not want to leave them in the pickup too long, even though the weather was much cooler today.

We went to the wildlife refuge hoping to spot a moose.  We did not see a moose but did see a deer and some other birds.

We returned home and had a pizza, salad and strawberries in the RV.
Next we took a pretty nice walk around Bennion loop and checked out part of the trail to Bayview.  After that we took the pickup to the other side of the divided highway and looked for deer.  We saw 3 deer.  Most evenings, when we ride around we see deer!
