Technical Difficulties - Friday, May 26, 2017
Well as usual we did our morning preparations to leave. The humidity and moisture just hangs heavily in the air in "The South". And we started off our morning with more technical difficulties. The generator would not start - nothing- then I remembered to check the power management center - Engine battery reads great and the reading for the house battery, its also great, 13.2 and 12.8. So Steve tried to jump it - No luck. Then he used his multimeter and also found out that the battery was not the problem - the battery was good. Then he flipped a switch by the door and Voila! the generator started! Yea! We have to remember this button- it looked like it was on, but it was not.
We have to run the generator or it is too hot to ride in the RV. Without the generator we can't run the air conditioner and we would be sorry.
When we got to Shreveport, we stopped for gas and then went into Wendy's for a salad and a frosty. Steve and I were both tired, so we took a power nap of about 1.5 to 2 hours. We were parked in the truck lot behind the gas station. Noise never bothers us when we are tire. After waking up, we drove on to Tyler, TX where we parked at another Passport America Park - cost was $20.00. An extremely nice lady hekped us figure out where to park we snacked for supper and watched a movie , The Guardian (for a 2nd or 3rd time) and then went to Sleep.
