Us and the doggies slept in!
Today we drove around looking at the scenery and checking out property signs for sale.
Tuesday
We had a little ceremony at Belt Creek for Rufus - we scattered some of his ashes in a place he enjoyed.
Then we checked all the tires, fluid, and air filters. We visited with some other campers and then pulled out and hooked up the pickup. I had a plan to stay at Belt, MT in a sweet little campground we have used before - but when I called - they were closed for 2016 and possibly 2017. I finally figured out I had made another boo boo - I had called and reserved a spot at White Sulphur Springs -somehow I got the two campgrounds mixed up in my head. Well I called them and cancelled. We drove the 60 miles to Great Falls and checked in at Malmstrom Air Force Base Famcamp. Since we belong to the Air Force Camping Club, we got one free night with a coupon, and the remainder of the nights were $24 each.
The nights in the forest were only $5 each. These last two locations have sure made up for the expensive KOA campgrounds!
We talked to a mobile RV Tech from Ulm, MT and he told Steve to google how to reset the board on the refrigerator. Steve did it and now the frig is working again. Yea!
We also read that the refrigerators don't work good on propane above 5500 feet altitude. Many Pines is about 6,000 feet elevation.
We went to Walmart, late and got some needed supplies - nothing for the refrigerator - because we weren't sure if it was really fixed. We will get more stuff later, maybe.
