July 11 & 12, 2017 Tuesday & Wednesday Leavenworth WA

We went to Lake Wenatchee State park and purchased a Discover Pass for $30.00 that will let us access State Parks all over Washington state. This state park has two campgrounds, a boat dock, a swim beach (crowded even on a week day) and hiking.
We drove around and looked at the cute houses near there. It reminds me of a smaller Lake Pen O Reille (ID), because of the steep mountains on the south side.
We saw a beautiful creek - Nason Creek, and took the dogs on a short hike there. Then we returned the dogs home to the RV and drove into the town of Leavenworth to take some pictures, mail a letter and buy some groceries. Mind you , this town is 17 miles from the RV on a 35 - 45 mph curvy road. When we got back we walked the dogs again, put stuff away and took a nap.

We had kind of an easy going morning. Weh we got around we went back to Leavenworth (long, curvy drive) and went to their city park with the dogs -we watched paddle boarding, tubing and kayaking,
Then back to the RV. We probably took a nap - then watched some of the Longmire series on DVD. Next we walked dogs and had a little campfire. Later we watched more Longmire.
